Governing Board Strategic Statement

What do we do?

Governors work with the Senior Leadership Team at the school to promote continuous improvement in the education provided for all the children attending our school. We work together to make decisions on the overall direction of the school and set policies, targets, development plans and more. We also decide how to make the best use of the school budget for the benefit of the children’s education.

As governors we work as a team, deciding on things jointly and sharing responsibilities for the decisions we make.

All our governors have signed up to the Birmingham City Council Code of Conduct for Governors which sets out in detail the purpose of the governing body and how we will conduct ourselves as governors. This document can be found here:

BCC Code of Conduct Schools Sept 24

We endeavour to keep everyone up to date with the work of the governing body through the regular school newsletters and copies of the approved minutes of our Full Governing Body meetings are always available on request from the school office.
